DySIS
DySIS (Dynamic Spectral Imaging Systems) is
the next generation of colposcopic equipment.
This state of the art technology utilises
something called digital dynamic spectral
analysis to give quantitative data concerning
the risk of cancer and precancer
of the cervix.
The system produces a digital interpretation of
the colposcopic image and helps direct the
doctor when performing a biopsy. Many
centres are now installing this system.
In recent studies the diagnostic odds ratio of
DySIS was 49% higher than traditional
colposcopy and 71% higher than smear tests.
